Argan Oil - The Midas touch

Argan oil is extracted by hand from the kernels of the argan tree, found only in the dry, harsh climate of South-western Morocco. It’s made a place in the boudoir of every natural beauty lover, being widely known for its immense skin and hair care benefits.

There are few completely natural products out there that can make you fabulous from head to toe and Conatural's 100% pure Argan Oil is one of them, making it the best natural beauty multi-tasker.

FOR HAIR

Most popularly used as a restorative and nourishing hair oil, argan oil makes hair of any type better in almost every way, curing almost every hair care woe from dandruff to split ends.

While argan oil can now be found in a variety of hair care products including shampoos, conditioners, mousses, sprays and serums, it’s at its best and most versatile when used on its own, 100% whole and natural. Highly recommended for all hair types, it is most effective for those with dry and damaged hair for it deeply hydrates, repairs split ends and provides shine, undoing the effects of damage caused by heat styling, sun exposure and bleaching and coloring. Once applied on locks, it protects the hair from UV damage, frizz, tangles and breakage.

Loads of antioxidants found in the high doses of vitamin E found in argan oil make it excellent for energizing the hair follicles and promote re growth. It’s non-irritating and unlike coconut and olive oils, is not overly greasy and does not cause buildup in the hair and scalp. This is why it makes for a wonderfully balanced leave-in conditioner, nourishing and protecting hair all the while.

FOR SKIN

Argan oil is a wonderful skin elixir packed with many benefits for face and body. The vitamin E, squalene and unsaturated omega-6 fatty acids found in this oil are anti-inflammatory and can reverse the signs of aging once applied by repairing free radical damage and cell degeneration. It deeply hydrates the skin and repairs and maintains the skin’s naturally protective hydro-lipid barrier.

It’s amongst the few all body moisturisers that are absorbed wholly by the skin and provide ample moisture. For severely dry skin, especially during the winter months, it is most effective as an all body moisturiser when used directly after a bath or even better, after a hot bath.

In addition to maintaining general good skin health, Conatural Argan Oil eliminates stretch marks, acne scars and skin blemishes and because of its anti-inflammatory characteristics, its application is an effective treatment for chicken pox and psoriasis.

USAGE

  • As a night time moisturizer, apply a few drops over face & neck. Can also be used as a whole body moisturizer, and to repair dry feet and heels.
  • For dry, brittle hair, use as a deep conditioning treatment. Take two pumps of oil in your hands and massage into hair. After six hours wash your hair as normal, rinsing until all residue is gone.
  • As a lip conditioner, rub in 1-2 drops and wipe any excess before you go to sleep.
  • For a nail treatment, dot a fraction of a drop directly onto each nail, and rub into the nail bed and cuticle. Leave on until all nails have been treated. Wash and rinse thoroughly.
  • To prevent stretch marks, warm 2-3 drops of pure argan oil in the palm of your hands and gently rub your stomach, hips, thighs or any other potential problem areas.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL BENEFITS OF ARGAN OIL

AT CONATURAL, WE ARE CONSCIOUS ABOUT SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.

Argan oil is an inherently socially conscious product that is sustainable and promotes fair trade. All argan oil around the globe is sold exclusively by the women’s cooperatives for Morocco generating income for the women responsible for the extraction of the oil and the Berber tribes that have since thousands of years been solely responsible for the growth and care of argan trees. The government of Morocco sees to the financing, health care, education and fair wages and work hours of these cooperatives which provide income for approximately 3 million Moroccan women.

Additionally, the government of Morocco and the Department of Water and Forests monitors the growth of the trees and the harvesting of the kernels, ensuring that the extraction and growth methods are environmentally sustainable.
